Dad’s Gumbo


(Serves 2)

Ingredients:

1/2 package Lipton Vegetable Soup Mix
1 cup Long Grain & Wild Rice
4 teaspoons of Seasoning Mix from Rice Package
1 pound Basic Ground Beef Mix (see Miscellaneous Recipes)
1 can Mixed Vegetables; Dried

Directions:

  1. Prepare dried foot (ground beef and vegetables) prior to campout.
  2. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add soup mix, wild rice, and vegetables.
  4. Bring to a simmer and add ground beef.
  5. Simmer 10 minutes.
  6. Serve.
